David Larbi Simpong

A Senior Lecturer at the Department of Medical Laboratory Science, University of Cape Coast (UCC), Dr. David Larbi Simpong, has been selected for the 2025 Atlantic Fellows for Equity in Brain Health fellowship at the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI), University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).

The School for Development Studies (SDS) at the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has officially launched its alumni association with a roundtable on key economic issues.

Speaking at the event, the Provost of the College of Humanities and Legal Studies (CHLS), Prof. Daniel Agyapong, described alumni as “a very important connecting rod of universities”, highlighting their ability to facilitate industry and academic relations.

The Office Building for Academic Senior Members (OBASM) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has been commissioned by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong.

The five-storey facility will provide spacious and comfortable offices for senior academic members.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, has inaugurated the Science Annex Building and the Ancillary building adjacent to the EdHotel.

The new Science Annex Building comprises 9 ultra-modern teaching and research laboratories, 40-well well-furnished offices for faculty and researchers, and a fully resourced library.

The Vice-President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has donated a high-powered ultrasound diagnostic system to the University of Cape Coast (UCC) hospital.

The donation of the medical item was in response to a request from the management of the hospital for assistance from the Vice-President.

The Central Regional Minister, Ekow Panyin Okyere Eduamoah, presented the equipment on behalf of Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

The Directorate of Physical Development and Estate Management (DPDEM) of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has organized a durbar to interact with staff to improve on service delivery.

The durbar brought together staff of various ranks from the respective sections of the Directorate.

The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has presented 50 cartons of Usplash, UCC's branded mineral water, and a cheque for GHS 20,000 to support the celebration of the annual Fetu Afahye of the people of Cape Coast.

The Head of the Public Relations Section - UCC, Mr. Felix Adu-Poku, made the presentation to the Oguaa Traditional Council (OTC), chaired by its president, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, the Oguaamanhen.

Mr. Adu-Poku made the presentation on behalf of the University.
