The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, ACCA, has handed over a state-of-the-art Resource Centre to the School of Business, University of Cape Coast.
The Centre will help students prepare adequately towards the professional examination of ACCA.
At the inauguration, the Provost of the College of Humanities and Legal Studies, Prof. Kwame Osei Kwarteng, expressed gratitude to ACCA for the gesture and noted that the facility would enhance research, teaching and learning.
He said it was worthy of note for academics to liaise with industry and professional bodies to build the capacities of students.
The Provost advised users of the Centre to maintain it properly to prolong its life span.
For his part, the Business Development Manager of ACCA, Mr. Gameli Datsomor, said the students of UCC always performed creditably in the ACCA examination.

Mr. Datsomor urged students and faculty to take advantage of the facility to expand their knowledge in accounting.
The Dean of the School of Business, Prof. John Gartchie Gatsi, in a brief remark, lauded ACCA for the facility and noted that the Centre would spur students on to achieve greater heights in any professional examination.
Present at the inauguration were the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Prof. Sarfo Sarfo Kantankah, as well as members of faculty and students of the School.
