Staff of the Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) have paid a courtesy call to the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Denis Aheto.
The visit was to congratulate Prof. Aheto on his appointment and inauguration as the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the University.
The Deputy Director of ACECoR, Dr. Precious Agbeko D. Mattah, pledged their unflinching support to the Pro Vice-Chancellor and wished him success during his tenure.
Dr. Mattah was optimistic that the rich experience of Prof. Aheto will be invaluable in assisting the Vice-Chancellor to do his work.

For his part, Prof. Aheto expressed gratitude to the staff of ACECoR for the visit and urged them to take advantage of opportunities in the University to build their capacities.
He also advised them to make themselves available when called upon to serve on committees of the University.
Taking their turn, staff of the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (DFAS) also applauded Prof. Denis Aheto on his appointment.
Speaking on their behalf, the Head of Department, Prof. Aggrey Fynn said DFAS was proud of Prof. Aheto who served as head of Department a decade ago.

He was confident of the abilities of Prof. Aheto to deliver on his mandate to assist the Vice-Chancellor to achieve his vision for the University.
In response, Prof. Aheto thanked the delegation for the visit and assured them of his commitment to work assiduously to move the University forward.
