UCC holds Orientation for National Service Personnel

A day’s orientation programme has been organised for national service personnel, who have been posted to the University of Cape Coast (UCC) for the 2022/2023 service year.

The programme, organised by Training and Development Section under the Directorate of Human Resource, was aimed at giving the personnel opportunity to acquaint themselves with the operations of the University, as well as to sensitise them on their role towards national development.

The Senior Assistant Registrar, Senior Members Section at the Directorate of Human Resource, Mr. Isaac Adom-Konadu, in a brief remark on the orientation, said national service was meant to instil the virtues of service, patriotism, and nationalism in personnel to contribute significantly to the development of the nation. He, therefore, admonished the personnel to take their service period seriously and urged them to adopt positive workplace behaviour.

The Senior Assistant Registrar counselled them to be punctual at work and engage in effective and efficient service delivery to the University. He urged them to shun mediocrity but strive to do their best in every task that would be assigned to them.

Mr. Adom-Konadu called on personnel to take advantage of the great opportunity on campus to enhance their competences.
